CartWhizz pricing explained: plan fee, commission, GST and the free trial
How CartWhizz billing really works: a monthly plan fee, commission only on sales above your plan's limit, 18% GST, a 7-day free trial and what happens when it ends. With worked examples.
Short answer: on CartWhizz you pay a monthly plan fee, from ₹249 on Starter. Each plan includes a monthly amount of sales with no commission. Only on sales above that amount do you pay a small commission, from 2% on Starter down to 0.5% on Enterprise. GST at 18% is added to the invoice. New stores get a 7-day free trial with no card needed.

All prices are before GST. There is no setup fee on any of the four plans today.
How the commission works
Commission is worked out once a month on your completed orders:
- It is based on the value of the products sold, after item discounts. Tax, delivery and packaging charges are not included.
- Cancelled orders do not count, and refunds are taken off.
- Your commission-free amount resets every month.
- You pay commission only on the part of the month's sales above your plan's limit.
Worked examples (Starter plan, before GST)

At ₹1,00,000 a month, the Growth plan would cost just its ₹799 fee, because ₹1,00,000 is inside its commission-free limit. That is why it pays to move up a plan as your sales grow. The calculator on the pricing page shows the cheapest plan for your numbers.
GST on your CartWhizz invoice
CartWhizz invoices add 18% GST to the plan fee and commission. If your business is GST-registered, add your GSTIN to your billing details so it appears on your invoice. As an example, the Starter fee of ₹249 becomes ₹294 with GST (₹249 + ₹44.82 GST, rounded to the nearest rupee).
The free trial
- Every new store gets 7 days free, with no card needed.
- You can use the whole admin during the trial: build your store, add products, connect payments and take orders.
- We email you 7, 3 and 1 days before the trial ends, and on the day it ends.
- No commission is charged on sales you make during the trial.
What happens when the trial ends
- You add your billing details (the name and address your invoices are made out to).
- Your first invoice is issued: your plan's fee for the first month, in advance, plus GST.
- Until it is paid, your admin opens only the Billing page. Your storefront keeps selling to customers for 7 more days.
- You pay from the invoice's pay link. Paying it reopens your whole admin straight away.
If the first invoice is still unpaid after those 7 days, your storefront is paused until it is paid. Nothing is deleted.
Your monthly invoice after that
At the end of each monthly period you receive one invoice by email with a pay link. It shows the plan fee, any commission on the month's sales above your limit, and GST, each on its own line. Invoices are due 7 days after they are issued, and all your invoices are listed under Billing in your admin.
What is not charged by CartWhizz
- Payment gateway fees. Your gateway (for example Razorpay or PayU) charges its own fee per payment and settles money to your bank. That happens on every platform.
- Courier charges. Paid to your courier or aggregator.
- Your domain. Bought from and renewed with your registrar.
All payment methods and all delivery partners are available on every plan, with no limit.
What every plan includes
Hosting, all themes, connecting your own domain with a free SSL certificate, coupons, SEO tools, marketing pixels and CartWhizz AI are included on every plan. Growth and above add abandoned-cart recovery, reviews, back-in-stock alerts, returns, gift cards, bundles and advanced analytics. Pro includes POS and the vendor app; Enterprise adds the multi-vendor marketplace, API access, priority support and an SLA. Optional add-ons, such as POS on Starter or Growth, have their own prices, shown in the calculator.
Changing plans
You can change plan from the Billing page in your admin. A higher plan raises your commission-free limit and lowers your commission rate, so it is worth checking each month whether your sales have outgrown your plan.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a commission on every sale?
No. Each plan includes a monthly amount of sales with no commission: ₹25,000 on Starter, ₹1,00,000 on Growth, ₹5,00,000 on Pro and ₹50,00,000 on Enterprise. Commission applies only to sales above that amount.
Are CartWhizz prices inclusive of GST?
No. Plan prices are shown before GST; 18% GST is added on the invoice.
Do I need a card for the free trial?
No. The 7-day trial needs only an email address.
Is shipping or tax counted in my sales for commission?
No. Commission is based on the value of products in completed orders after discounts, without tax, delivery or packaging charges.
What happens if I do not pay my first invoice?
Your admin opens only Billing until it is paid, and your storefront keeps selling for 7 days. After that the storefront is paused until the invoice is paid.
