  4. Go live on your domain. We point your domain at CartWhizz and turn on the redirects.

Frequently asked questions

Will my store go down during the move?

No. Your current store keeps selling while we build your CartWhizz store on a preview address. You only switch your domain once you've checked everything, so customers never see a half-moved store.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

We add a 301 redirect from every old product, category and page address to its new one, and carry over your SEO titles and descriptions. Search engines follow 301 redirects and pass your rankings to the new pages, so old links and search results keep working.

How long does it take?

It depends on how many products and pages you have. A small store can be ready to review within a day; larger catalogues take longer. We give you a timeline after the free assessment.

What doesn't move?

Past orders stay in your old platform's export, so keep a copy for your records. Customer passwords can't be exported by any platform, so customers set a new one with "Forgot password" the first time they log in. Apps and theme customisations don't carry over; CartWhizz has its own themes and most features are built in.
