Quick start
What it does. Counts views, clicks, impressions, add-to-carts, wishlists and orders for each product, category, page and banner.
Who can use it
- Off until you switch it on.
- Your plan decides whether you can use it. The module card in Settings → Modules shows Not in your plan (with See plans) or Paid add-on (with Buy add-on) when it is not included. The features list shows which plans include it.
Switch it on
- In your admin, open Settings → Modules.
- Find Engagement Analytics. If it is on the Installed tab, click Enable; if not, open the Browse tab and click Install.
- Click Configure to change any setting below (the defaults work for most stores).
Switching it off later stops it working but keeps its data, so switching it back on picks up where you left off.
Settings
- Raw event retention (days) — How long raw engagement_events rows are kept before the nightly sweep deletes them. Per-day rollups are retained indefinitely. Default: 90.
- Sampling rate (%) — Percentage of client-beacon events to keep (100 = no sampling). Lower this on very high-traffic stores to reduce ingestion cost; rollups scale the kept sample back up. Default: 100.
- Require analytics consent — When ON, client-side capture (views/clicks/impressions) is dropped unless the visitor granted analytics cookie consent. Default: on.
- Track impressions — Capture product-card/banner impressions (highest volume). Turn OFF to track only views/clicks/cart/wishlist/orders. Default: on.
