What is Vendor Moderation?

Vendor Moderation makes new sellers wait for your approval before they can sell on your marketplace. Without it, anyone who signs up as a vendor is active straight away.

• You: Vendors → Vendor Moderation lists applications to approve or reject.
• Vendors: Application in the vendor panel shows their status and lets them add documents.

What happens when it's on

1. A seller signs up. Their account starts as pending.
2. Your store's orders email (or users email) gets a new vendor application message.
3. You open the application, check the details and documents, and Approve or Reject with a reason.
4. The vendor gets an email either way. Once approved they see Your application has been approved! You can now list products.

This module checks new sign-ups. To check sellers' identity documents in detail (Aadhaar, PAN, bank), use Vendor KYC as well. To check each product before it goes live, use Product Moderation.
