What is Catalog Store?

Catalog Store is meant for marketplaces with sellers who want to show their products on your store but sell them elsewhere — for example a furniture showroom, a wholesaler who closes deals by phone, or a brand with its own website. For such a seller, "catalog mode" is supposed to replace Add to cart with a Buy now link to their own site, or a Request quote button.

Not working yet. Today you (or the seller) can switch a seller into catalog mode, but nothing changes on the store: their products still show Add to cart and can be bought and paid for as normal. The Buy now link and Request quote button are not shown, and there is no screen to enter a product's Buy now address. Don't rely on catalog mode to stop sales.

Where it is

• Admin: Vendors → Network → Catalog Mode lists sellers with a Catalog mode switch for each.
• Seller panel: Settings → Catalog Mode lets a seller switch it for themselves.

Catalog Store only makes sense on a marketplace (a store with several sellers).
