Google Ads Conversion Tracking

Tell Google Ads which clicks turn into sales. Each purchase is sent as a conversion with its value and order number (refreshes never double-count), add-to-cart and begin-checkout optionally too, and the site-wide tag builds remarketing audiences. You paste a Conversion ID and a label; there is no code.

Quick start

What it does. Reports purchases (and optionally add-to-carts and checkouts started) to Google Ads with the order value, and adds the remarketing tag to your store.

Who can use it

  • Off until you switch it on.
  • Your plan decides whether you can use it. The module card in Settings → Modules shows Not in your plan (with See plans) or Paid add-on (with Buy add-on) when it is not included. The features list shows which plans include it.

Switch it on

  1. In your admin, open Settings → Modules.
  2. Find Google Ads Conversion Tracking. If it is on the Installed tab, click Enable; if not, open the Browse tab and click Install.
  3. Click Configure, fill in Conversion ID and Purchase conversion label, and save.

Switching it off later stops it working but keeps its data, so switching it back on picks up where you left off.

Settings

  • Conversion ID — From Google Ads > Goals > Conversions > your conversion action > Tag setup, e.g. AW-123456789. Required.
  • Purchase conversion label — The label shown next to the Conversion ID for your Purchase conversion action. Required.
  • Add-to-cart conversion label (optional) — Only if you track Add to cart as its own conversion action.
  • Begin-checkout conversion label (optional) — Only if you track Begin checkout as its own conversion action.
