Instagram analytics
Marketing → Instagram Feed → Analytics shows how your Instagram account is doing, which posts did best, and the visits, orders and revenue that came to your store from Instagram.
Analytics needs Instagram's insights permission. If the tab shows Reconnect to allow posting and insights, choose Reconnect and allow it on Instagram.
Choose the dates
Choose 7 days, 28 days or 90 days (each ends today), or Custom to pick a From and To date and choose Show. A custom range can be up to a year and can't end after today. Everything on the tab follows the range you choose. Days are UTC dates, the way Instagram reports them.
Your store fetches Instagram's figures once a day, at the time set under Update insights at on the Display tab, and keeps its own daily copy, so history can go back further than Instagram's own 90 days, to the first day they were fetched. The line next to the dates says when they were last updated. Today's figures usually arrive with the next daily update.
Your account
A tile for each figure shows its value for the range. Followers is the count on the last day of the range; every other tile is the total of its days (so reach added up day by day, not the number of different accounts).
| Figure | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Followers | People following your account. |
| Reach | Accounts that saw your content each day. |
| Views | Times your content was seen. |
| Accounts engaged | Accounts that interacted with your content. |
| Interactions | Likes, comments, saves, shares and replies together. |
Instagram no longer reports profile visits to apps, so they aren't shown here.
Choose a tile to draw that figure by day in the chart below it. Point at (or tap) a day to see its value. Choose Table to read every figure for every day.
Not available means Instagram didn't share that figure for the range. Some figures need an account with at least 100 followers; when yours has fewer, the tab says so. A gap in the line is a day without a figure, not a zero.
Top posts
Top posts lists the posts from the range with their reach, views, likes, comments, saves and shares. Choose a column heading to put the best posts by that figure first. View on Instagram opens a post.
Sales from Instagram
Sales from Instagram shows the Visits, Orders and Revenue that came through links tagged for Instagram, counted from your store's own visits and orders. Instagram's own app can't show these. Below the totals, each link has its own row.
Links come from Create a tracked shop link when you post (see Post to Instagram), or from links you make in Marketing → Links with Instagram as the source. If no Instagram link had visits in the range, the panel says so.
