Instagram Feed

Show your latest Instagram posts on your store, tag up to 5 products on each post so shoppers can add them to their cart, post to Instagram from your store now or on a schedule, and see how your account and posts are doing.

Quick start

What it does. Show your latest Instagram posts on your store as a feed block, and tag up to 5 of your products on a post so shoppers can open or buy them from it. Write and schedule Instagram posts from your store, and see your followers, reach and sales from Instagram. Pictures are copied to your store, so the feed keeps loading. Needs an Instagram Business or Creator account.

Who can use it

  • Off until you switch it on.
  • Your plan decides whether you can use it. The module card in Settings → Modules shows Not in your plan (with See plans) or Paid add-on (with Buy add-on) when it is not included. The features list shows which plans include it.

Switch it on

  1. In your admin, open Settings → Modules.
  2. Find Instagram Feed. If it is on the Installed tab, click Enable; if not, open the Browse tab and click Install.
  3. Click Configure to change any setting below (the defaults work for most stores).

Switching it off later stops it working but keeps its data, so switching it back on picks up where you left off.

Settings

  • Layout — How the Instagram feed block shows your posts: a grid, or one row shoppers swipe through. A block can choose its own layout. Default: Grid.
  • Posts to show — How many posts the feed shows, 4 to 24. Pinned posts come first, then the newest. Default: 8.
  • Columns — Posts per row in the grid on a wide screen, 2 to 6. Phones show fewer. Default: 4.
  • Show captions — Show the start of each post's caption under its picture. Default: on.
  • When a shopper clicks a post — On the store, the post opens larger with its caption and the products you tagged on it, each with Add to cart. Default: Open it on the store with its products.
  • Show new posts automatically — New posts appear on your store by themselves. Off: each new post stays hidden until you show it in Marketing → Instagram Feed. Default: on.
  • Check for new posts every (hours) — How often your store copies your latest posts from Instagram, 1 to 24 hours. Sync now on the Instagram Feed page updates at once. Default: 6.
  • Update Instagram analytics at (hour) — The hour of the day, 0 to 23 in your store's time zone, when your store copies your Instagram followers, reach, views and post results for the analytics page. It runs once a day, and after you connect. Default: 3.
  • Default hashtags — Hashtags added to the end of every new post you write in Marketing → Instagram, for example #handmade #yourbrand. Separate them with spaces; up to 30. You can still change them on each post.
