Show your Instagram posts on your store

Marketing → Instagram Feed connects your store's Instagram account and shows your posts on your store as a theme block. You choose which posts appear, and you can tag products on a post so shoppers can buy them straight from the feed.

The Instagram Feed module must be switched on in Modules. While it is off, the menu entry, the page and the feed block are all hidden.

Connect your account

  1. Open Marketing → Instagram Feed and choose Connect with Instagram.
  2. Sign in on Instagram and allow access. Instagram sends you back to the page, which says when the account is connected.
  3. Your posts are imported in the background. Up to your latest 50 posts are copied.

Only Business and Creator accounts can connect; Instagram doesn't let personal accounts connect to shops. To switch, open the Instagram app, go to your profile, tap the menu, then Settings and privacy → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account. Switching is free and keeps your posts and followers.

If the page says Instagram isn't available yet, the platform hasn't finished its one-time Instagram setup. The Connect button appears once it has.

The account card

Once connected, the page shows the account's picture, @username, whether it is a Business or Creator account, when it last synced, and any error from the last sync.

  • Sync now checks Instagram for new and deleted posts straight away. It runs at most once every 5 minutes; if you try sooner, the page says how long to wait.
  • Reconnect signs in on Instagram again. A yellow Reconnect Instagram banner appears when Instagram has ended the connection (for example after a password change). Posts already imported are kept, but new ones can't be fetched until you reconnect.
  • Disconnect deletes the imported posts, their picture copies and their product tags from your store, after you confirm. The feed block stops showing. Nothing changes on Instagram itself.

Choose posts and tag products

The Posts tab shows every imported post.

  • Show on store decides whether a post can appear in the feed. Hidden posts never show.
  • Pin puts a post before the others. Pinned posts come first, then the newest.
  • Tag products opens a search of your catalog. Type at least 2 letters of a product name and choose Add; a post can have up to 5 products. Choose Save products to keep them.

Display settings

The Display tab sets how the feed block shows your posts:

Add the feed to a page

Choose Add to your store (or Open Layouts on the Display tab), edit a page such as your home page, then choose Add block → Social → Instagram feed. The block has its own title, subtitle and Follow on Instagram button, and can use its own layout, columns and number of posts on that page; Same as the Instagram Feed page uses the Display settings.

On the store, a shopper who opens a post sees the picture, the caption, the date, a View on Instagram link and each tagged product with its price and Add to cart. Pictures are copies kept by your store, so the feed keeps loading even when Instagram changes its links.

The block shows nothing when the module is off, when no account is connected or when there are no posts to show.
