Cash on delivery, bank transfer and other offline methods

1. Open Finance → Payments and click New Payment Method.
2. Under How will this method be processed? choose Offline.
3. Choose the Payment Type: Cash on Delivery, Bank Transfer, Cheque or Phone Order. (It can't be changed later.)
4. Name — what shoppers see, for example "Cash on Delivery".
5. Description — instructions shown at checkout. For bank transfer, put your bank name, account number and IFSC here, and ask the customer to add their order number to the transfer note.
6. Set Status to Active and save.

Offline orders arrive unpaid. When the money arrives, open the order and click Mark as Paid.

Cash on delivery tips

• Set a Maximum Order Total on the Restrictions tab (for example ₹5,000) to limit your risk.
• With Shiprocket or ShipMaxx connected, a COD order can be shipped automatically once you confirm it.
• OTP Verification can ask COD customers to confirm their phone number, which cuts fake orders.
