Getting started
Because the shopper's Notify me button isn't on CartWhizz stores yet (see the overview), setting this up today has no visible effect for shoppers. These are the steps for when it is available.
1. Switch the module on
Open Settings → Modules, find Back-in-stock Notifications and click Enable (or Install on the Browse tab). There are no settings.
2. Choose which products use it
The module does nothing on its own — you turn it on per product:
- Open Products → Products and edit a product.
- Find When out of stock and choose Show "Notify me when available".
- Save.
The other choices are Just show "Out of stock" (the default) and Allow Buy in Advance / Pre-order.
There is no way to change all products at once from the admin. Sellers on a marketplace can set this on their own products.
3. Make sure emails work
The notification is sent like your other store emails. If order confirmations arrive, these will too.
Switching it off
When the module is off, no notification emails are sent — not even to people who signed up earlier. Nobody is removed from the list; switching it back on picks up where it left off.
