SEO and Open Graph
CartWhizz sets up each post for search engines and social sharing automatically. You can fine-tune it in the post's SEO section:
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Meta Title | The title in Google results. Defaults to the post title. Keep it under about 60 characters. |
| Meta Description | The text under the title in Google. One or two sentences, about 155 characters. |
| Social share image | The picture shown when the post is shared on WhatsApp, Facebook or X. Defaults to the featured image. |
| Canonical URL | Only if the post was first published on another website. Leave empty normally. |
| Hide from search engines | Keeps the post out of Google, the sitemap and the RSS feed. |
The blog page itself has its own Meta Title and Meta Description in Blog settings.
Done for you
- Posts are added to your sitemap (switch off with Include posts in the sitemap in Blog settings).
- Each post tells search engines who wrote it and when, so Google can show the author and date.
- A table of contents and clear headings help Google and AI search tools understand your post.
Tips
- Write for your customer's question: "How to choose a silk saree for a wedding" beats "New blog post".
- Use a real photo as the featured image, with an image description.
