Calculation rules + holidays

How the date is worked out

  1. Start day — today, or the next business day if the order is after the Cutoff Time (or today isn't a business day).
  2. Processing — count Processing Time business days forward, skipping days you don't work and holidays.
  3. Transit — courier travel time is meant to be added here, but today the product-page estimate adds none.
  4. Show it — as a date (Show date) or as a range of business days (Show business days, e.g. 3-4).

Everything uses your store's Timezone, not the shopper's.

Example

Processing Time 2, Cutoff 14:00, Mon–Sat, timezone Asia/Kolkata. An order on Friday at 4 PM: after the cutoff, so counting starts Saturday. Two business days: Saturday and Monday (Sunday is skipped). The estimate shows Monday.

Holidays

  • A holiday is never counted as a working day.
  • Recurring every year repeats on the same day and month (e.g. 26 January, 15 August, 2 October).
  • Festivals whose date changes (Diwali, Holi, Eid, Pongal) need a new one-off entry each year.
  • Add regional holidays for the state your warehouse is in.
