What is Google Product Images?
Google Product Images saves you from downloading photos one by one. On a product's edit page you click Search Google, see matching pictures from Google Images, tick the ones you want, and CartWhizz adds them to the product's gallery.
It is useful when you add many products at once (for example from a supplier's spreadsheet) and they have no pictures yet.
What you need: your own free Google search key. CartWhizz does not provide one; each store uses its own Google account, so the searches are counted against your Google allowance, not anyone else's. Setting it up takes about 10 minutes (see Getting started).
Good to know
- Only you and your staff use it, from the admin. Shoppers never see it, and marketplace sellers do not get the button.
- Images are copied into your store's media library, so they keep working even if the original website removes them.
- Pictures from Google may be owned by someone else. Prefer the brand's or manufacturer's own website, and use your own photos when you can. You are responsible for the images you put on your store.
