Hyperlocal Delivery

Checkout, slots and orders

Checkout follows your areas. When the shopper enters their delivery address, the shipping options depend on its pincode:

  • Inside an area: your local delivery method is offered at that area's fee (free above the threshold). Below the minimum order it is not offered.
  • Outside every area: local delivery is not offered, and depending on your setting the shopper sees nothing, only store pickup, or your other shipping methods. Checkout explains why.

This is checked again when the order is placed, so an out-of-area delivery order can't get through.

Local delivery only products. In the product editor, on the Shipping tab, switch on Local delivery only. It saves straight away. A cart with such a product never offers courier shipping: inside your areas only local delivery and pickup are offered; outside them only pickup (if allowed).

Delivery slots. If Delivery Scheduling is on and your local delivery method has slots, shoppers pick a date and time as usual.

On the order. A local delivery order shows a Local delivery card on the order page with the outlet, area, pincode, distance and delivery time, so whoever packs it knows where it goes.
