Getting started

ShipMaxx Shipping

Getting started

1. Connect your account

  1. Open Logistics → ShipMaxx (the Settings tab opens first).
  2. Enter your ShipMaxx email and ShipMaxx password, the same ones you use on the ShipMaxx website.
  3. Enter your Channel ID (in the ShipMaxx dashboard under Settings → Channels).
  4. Switch Enabled on and click Save.
  5. Click Test connection. Connected successfully means your details are right.

Your password is stored encrypted and is never shown again. To keep it, leave the box as it is when you save.

2. Leave dry-run on while you set up

A new connection starts with Live mode off (dry-run). A blue banner says Dry-run is ON — nothing is sent to ShipMaxx yet. Bookings, cancellations, NDR actions and dispute decisions are only logged, and nothing is charged.

3. Fill in your pickup details

  • Origin address — your real ship-from address.
  • Shipping defaults — Default weight (kg) and length / width / height (cm) for products that don't have their own. Set these to a typical parcel; a product's own weight and size always win.
  • Sort couriers by — Recommended, Cheapest or Fastest. This only changes the order couriers are listed in.

4. Add a warehouse

  1. Under Warehouses, click Add warehouse.
  2. Enter the name, address, city, state, pincode, contact person and contact number. GST number is optional (needed only if this warehouse issues GST invoices).
  3. Save. It is registered with ShipMaxx.
  4. With more than one, click Make default on the one used for pickups.

The Health checklist shows whether your login works and a default warehouse is set.

5. Try it, then go live

  1. Use Test serviceability to check a pincode: enter a pincode, weight and whether it's COD, then Check rates. Nothing is booked.
  2. Ship one order with dry-run still on (see Shipping an order).
  3. Switch Live mode (spends real money) on and confirm.

Who can use it

Staff need the View shipping permission to see these pages, and Manage shipping to connect, ship, cancel or act on NDRs and disputes.
