Verification + debugging

Quick check (1 minute)

1. Open your store in a private (incognito) window. Accept cookies if your store shows a cookie banner.
2. In Google Analytics, open Reports → Realtime.
3. Within a minute or two you should appear as an active user, and opening a product should show a view_item event.

Detailed check with DebugView

1. In Google Chrome, install Google's Tag Assistant (or the Google Analytics Debugger extension) and turn it on for your store.
2. In GA4, open Admin → DebugView.
3. Browse, add something to the cart and go to checkout. Each step appears in DebugView with its details (product, price, currency).
4. Place a test order with cash on delivery to see the purchase event.

Numbers don't match your CartWhizz reports? Some difference is normal:

• ad blockers and visitors who decline cookies are not tracked by GA4;
• GA4 may take 24–48 hours to finish processing a day;
• GA4 uses the time zone set on the property; check it is India (or your own) under Admin → Property settings;
• refunds and cancellations after the order are not sent to GA4.
