Media library

Settings → Media library holds the files you uploaded: product photos and videos, banners, logos, category images and documents.

• Add files (or drag them onto Drop files here) to upload files you want to use later, for example in pages or blocks.
• Search and filter by All, Kept and Not kept.
• Files added in the library are Kept until you Release them. Files attached to a product, category or page are kept while they are used.

Unused files

Settings → Settings → Unused files → Check for unused files finds uploads that nothing in your store points to any more (for example a picture deleted from a description). It lists them before anything is removed. Files uploaded in the last 7 days are never included.

Thumbnails

Your store serves smaller copies of each image, made the first time a page asks for them. Your original uploads are never changed. Settings → Settings → Thumbnails shows how much space they use and lets you:

• Convert everything now — rebuild older images as WebP, which is about 25% smaller.
• Regenerate all — build thumbnails ahead of time, so the first shopper doesn't wait.
• Clear all thumbnails — delete the copies; they are rebuilt as pages are viewed.
