Admin walkthrough — create a rule
- Open Settings → System → Access Restrictions. The rules are split into IP Rules and Country Rules tabs.
- Click Add Rule.
- Fill in the form:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Rule Type | IP Allow, IP Block, Country Allow or Country Block. |
| IP Address or CIDR | One address (49.36.10.25) or a range (49.36.10.0/24). IPv6 works too. |
| Country Code (ISO) | Two letters, e.g. IN, US, CN. Small letters are changed to capitals for you. |
| Reason | Required. A note for your team, e.g. "Fake orders". The blocked visitor's browser can see it, so keep it polite and free of personal details. |
| Expires At | Optional date and time. Empty means permanent. |
| Rule is active | Untick to keep the rule but switch it off. |
- Click Create Rule.
If the value is not a valid IP address, range or two-letter code, the rule is not saved and you see an error.
Reading the list
Each rule shows its Type, Value, Reason, Status, Expires and Created date. The status is Active, Inactive (you switched it off) or Expired (the expiry time has passed).
