Troubleshooting
I added a block but the visitor can still see my store.
- Wait up to 5 minutes.
- Check the module is switched on and the rule shows Active, not Inactive or Expired.
- Check there is no IP Allow that matches them — IP Allow always wins.
- A blocked visitor sees the "not available where you are" page as soon as the store finishes loading.
- Their IP may have changed (common on mobile data).
My country rule does nothing.
- If the visitor's country can't be detected, country rules are skipped. Country comes from the visitor's IP address (IP to Country Lite by DB-IP, CC BY 4.0), or from Cloudflare when the store is reached through it.
- Check Restrict by Country is on under Configure — turning it off pauses every country rule.
Real customers say the store is broken.
They may be caught by a rule. Ask for their IP address and use Test Access. Add an IP Allow for them or narrow the rule. If you used Country Allow, customers outside your allowed countries are blocked.
I need to undo everything now.
Switch off Access Restrictions in Settings → Modules. All rules stop applying straight away and are kept for later.
The rule won't save.
Check the value: a valid IP address, a range like 203.0.113.0/24, or exactly two letters for a country. Reason must be filled in.
