Getting started

1. Create a Shiprocket API user

Shiprocket needs a separate API user, not your main login.

1. Sign in to Shiprocket.
2. Go to Settings → API → Add New API User.
3. Create one with a different email from your main Shiprocket login, and a password.

2. Connect

1. Open Logistics → Shiprocket (the Settings tab).
2. Enter the API user's email as Shiprocket email, and its Shiprocket password.
3. Channel ID is optional (Shiprocket → Settings → Channels).
4. Switch Enabled on and click Save.
5. Click Test connection. Connected successfully means it works.

The password is stored encrypted and never shown again. Leave the box as it is to keep it.

3. Keep dry-run on while you set up

New connections start with Live mode (spends real money) off. A banner says Dry-run is ON — nothing is sent to Shiprocket yet.

4. Pickup and parcel details

• Origin address — your real ship-from address.
• Shipping defaults — default weight (kg) and length, width, height (cm) for products without their own. A product's own values always win.
• Sort couriers by — Recommended, Cheapest or Fastest (list order only).

5. Add a pickup address

1. Under Pickup addresses, click Add pickup address.
2. Enter name, address, city, state, pincode, contact person and contact number. GST number is optional.
3. Save, and click Make default on the one to use.

6. Connect tracking updates (recommended)

Copy the Webhook URL from the Tracking webhook card and paste it into Shiprocket under Settings → API → Webhooks. Tracking then updates as soon as the courier scans the parcel. Without it, CartWhizz still checks Shiprocket on its own, but less often.

7. Test, then go live

1. Test serviceability: enter a pincode, weight and COD yes/no, then Check rates. Nothing is booked.
2. Ship one order with dry-run on.
3. Switch Live mode on and confirm.

The Health checklist shows whether your login works, a default pickup address is set and your wallet balance is healthy.

Who can use it

Staff need View shipping to see these pages and Manage shipping to connect, ship, cancel, book returns or act on NDRs.
