Quick start
What it does. Keep your suppliers and what each product costs from them, and raise purchase orders. Receiving a purchase order adds the stock to the warehouse you choose.
Who can use it
- Off until you switch it on.
- Your plan decides whether you can use it. The module card in Settings → Modules shows Not in your plan (with See plans) or Paid add-on (with Buy add-on) when it is not included. The features list shows which plans include it.
Switch it on
- In your admin, open Settings → Modules.
- Find Suppliers & Purchase Orders. If it is on the Installed tab, click Enable; if not, open the Browse tab and click Install.
- It needs Warehouses & Multi-location Stock. Switch it on first if the card asks.
- Click Configure to change any setting below (the defaults work for most stores).
Switching it off later stops it working but keeps its data, so switching it back on picks up where you left off.
Where to find it
- Products → Suppliers
- Products → Purchase orders
Settings
- Purchase order number prefix — Leads the generated PO number. Default: PO.
- Require supplier confirmation before receiving — On by default. With it off, a submitted PO can be received without the supplier confirming it first. Default: on.
- Approval needed at or above — In minor units of your primary currency (50000 = 500.00). 0 turns approval off, which is how every store worked before this setting existed. A purchase order whose total is at or above this needs approval before it can be sent. Default: 0.
- Allow self-approval — Off by default. With it on, an approver may approve a purchase order they created or submitted. Turn it on in a one-person store. Default: off.
