Feed health and setting up Google and Meta
Feed health
The Feed health card on Data Feeds checks every active product the way the feeds list it and shows what Google Merchant Center or the Meta catalogue would reject or show less:
| Problem | Effect | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No image | Rejected | Add a product image. |
| Image under 100×100 | Rejected | Upload a larger image (800×800 or more is best). |
| Image under 500×500 | Shown less | Upload a larger image. |
| Price is zero | Rejected | Set a price above zero. |
| No product URL | Rejected | Give the product a URL slug. |
| No barcode and no brand | Shown less | Add the EAN/UPC barcode. |
| No category | Shown less | Put the product in a category. |
| Title over 150 characters | Cut | Shorten the title. |
| No description | Shown less | Write a description. |
| Out of stock | Not advertised | Restock. |
Each line has a Fix link to the product.
What the feeds send
- One item per product option (size, colour…), grouped by
item_group_id, at the option's own price, stock, SKU and image, linking to the product page with that option selected. - Plain-text descriptions (Google and Meta reject HTML).
- The product's canonical page link, and
product_typebuilt from its category path. identifier_exists = nowhen a product has neither a barcode nor a SKU.- Products that do not track stock are always "in stock".
