Sending newsletters
Newsletters are sent from Marketing → CRM → Campaigns. Your subscriber list is a built-in audience there called Newsletter subscribers.
Send a newsletter
- Open CRM → Campaigns and click New campaign.
- Give it a name, choose the audience Newsletter subscribers and the Email channel.
- Enter the Subject, for example Diwali sale: 30% off ethnic wear, 3 days only, and write the email. You can paste HTML from an email tool.
- Optional: add a coupon. Each customer with an account gets their own one-time code (subscribers without an account get the email without a code).
- Optional: set a Send at time to schedule it.
- Save, check it carefully, then send. The emails go out gradually over a short period, not all in the same second.
Each campaign shows how many people it went to, opened, clicked and bought.
Who receives it
- Every Active subscriber, with or without a store account.
- Not people who are Waiting to confirm or who Unsubscribed.
- Not addresses that bounced.
Sending to part of your list
Create an audience in CRM → Audiences, for example customers who bought in the last 90 days or customers in Mumbai, and add the condition Is a newsletter subscriber. Then pick that audience for the campaign.
Newsletters sent before this change
They are listed, read-only, under CRM → Subscribers → Past newsletters. Drafts you had not sent were moved to Campaigns for you.
Good practice
- Send at most once or twice a week. Too many emails cause unsubscribes and spam complaints.
- Put the offer in the subject line.
- Always include your store name and a link back to your store.
- Mention prices with ₹ and say clearly when an offer ends.
