You choose which of these show the button. See Admin settings walkthrough.

The button reads Quick Checkout unless you set your own label. Under it is a short line of payment types: "UPI · Cards · Net banking", or "UPI · Cards · COD" when cash on delivery is on. It is drawn as an outlined button in your theme's colours, so it never competes with your main checkout button.

When the button is hidden

The button only shows when it can work. It is hidden when:

  • Quick Checkout is off, or off for that place (cart page, drawer or product page);
  • the shopper is signed out and the store does not allow guest checkout;
  • on the product page, the product cannot be bought right now (out of stock, not for sale, or its price is hidden);
  • on the product page, the product has options (size, colour…) and the shopper has not picked one yet.

Step by step

  1. The shopper taps Quick Checkout. The button shows "Opening secure checkout…".
  2. Your store prices the order on its server and opens PayU's sheet.
  3. In the sheet, the shopper enters their phone number and the OTP PayU sends.
  4. PayU shows addresses saved against that phone number on PayU's network. The shopper picks one or adds a new one.
  5. PayU shows offers, if you configured any in your PayU dashboard.
  6. The shopper pays with UPI, a card, net banking, pay later, or COD if you allow it.
  7. The button shows "Confirming your order…" while your store checks the result with PayU.
  8. The shopper lands on your order confirmation page. If PayU has not confirmed the payment within about 20 seconds, the shopper is told it is still being confirmed and not to pay again; the order follows within a few minutes.

If the shopper is signed in, PayU's sheet starts with their name, email and phone number already filled in.

If the shopper cancels

Closing PayU's sheet does nothing to the store. No order is created and the cart stays exactly as it was. The shopper can tap Quick Checkout again or use the normal checkout.

What happens to the cart

  • Cart page and cart drawer: after the order is created, the cart is emptied, just like after a normal checkout.
  • Product page: the saved cart is never touched. Whatever the shopper had in their cart is still there after the order. This works like Buy Now.
