Glossary

• DLT — India's mandatory registration of businesses, sender IDs and SMS templates with telecom operators.
• Sender ID / header — the short name a message appears from, for example MYSTOR.
• Segment — one billed part of a long SMS.
• OTP — one-time password, a short code sent to confirm a phone number.
• Order update — a message about an order. Offer — a marketing message, sent only with consent.
• Delivery report — the provider's notice that a message reached the phone.
• Suppressed — not sent on purpose; the log says why.
• Quiet hours — times when offers are held back.
