For store owners: your own app
Your shoppers get an Android app with your store's name, icon and colours. It is part of the Mobile App add-on; see Finance → Billing & Plans and the features list.
How you get your app
- Switch on the Mobile App module and set your App logo in Marketing → Mobile App (see the Mobile App guide). Keep the module on: shopper sign-in, account creation, data download and account deletion in the app only work while it is on.
- Ask the CartWhizz team to build your app. The build takes from your store: the store name, your App logo (or your website logo) for the app icon and splash screen, and your colours.
- Your app is published on Google Play, normally from your own Google Play developer account. For the listing you provide the app name, a 512 px icon, a 1024×500 feature graphic, screenshots, the descriptions, your privacy policy link and a support email, and you fill in Play's content-rating and data-safety forms.
To try the app before yours is ready, use the CartWhizz Preview build from the tester downloads page and open your store in it.
What updates without a new app
These come live from your store, so changes show in the app without a new version:
- your website theme (colours, logo, fonts, corner style)
- the app home screen you design in Marketing → Mobile App (or your website home layout)
- which modules are on (shopping assistant, compare, returns, gift cards, wallet and reward points)
- guest checkout, sign-in methods (password, login code, Google), payment and delivery methods
- your store pages, shown under Store policies
A new app name or icon needs a new build.
What shoppers can do
Everything in this guide: browse and search, save and compare, bag and offer codes, checkout with your payment methods, order tracking, cancellations and returns, notifications, the CartWhizz AI shopping assistant, and in-app data download and account deletion (Google Play requires account deletion inside the app).
Orders from the app arrive in your admin like any other order.
