Creating master products

Create one yourself

1. Open Products → Master Products and click New Master Product.
2. Fill in the General tab:
   • Name (required) — the name shoppers will see, for example Prestige Iris 750 W Mixer Grinder, 3 Jars.
   • SKU — the manufacturer's model number or barcode. Sellers' products with the same SKU are matched to this master.
   • Brand, Category, Short Description and Description.
   • Suggested Base Price — for reference. Once sellers offer it in stock, the lowest offer price is shown instead.
3. Features & Specs — add rows such as Wattage: 750 W, Warranty: 2 years.
4. Images — add the photos and pick the main one.
5. Save.

The master product stays invisible to shoppers until at least one seller offers it.

Let sellers suggest new ones

When a seller adds a product with a SKU no master has, what happens depends on Auto-promote new vendor SKUs:

• Queue draft master for admin review (default) — the product goes into Review queue. You open it, check the details, and click Approve to make it a master product (optionally with a note), or Reject.
• Silent — a master product is created from the seller's product automatically. Fast, but quality depends on your sellers.
• Disabled — no master products are created from sellers' products.

Manage existing ones

• Search by name, SKU or brand on the Master Catalog page.
• Select several and use Activate or Deactivate to show or hide them in sellers' Master Catalog.
• Open a master product to see its Vendor Offers, best price, total stock and average rating, and View on Storefront.
• You can delete a master product only after unlinking every seller's offer from it.
