Order Notifications

Notification triggers + events catalogue

The pop-up and buzzer fire for one thing only: a new order is placed. They appear on open admin Dashboards and, in a marketplace, on the dashboards of sellers whose products are in the order.

Notification Preferences (Settings → Notification Preferences) lists the store events you can control:

  • New order placed
  • Payment confirmed / Payment failed
  • Order status updated, shipped, delivered, cancelled, refunded
  • Return request submitted
  • New product review
  • Product stock below threshold
  • New vendor application (marketplaces)
  • Vendor receives new order (marketplaces)

For each event you can switch channels on or off and choose how often it is delivered:

  • Immediate — as it happens;
  • Hourly or Daily — collected into a summary;
  • Off — not sent.

The Email column is the one that matters today: it decides whether CartWhizz sends the email for that event. The other columns (Push, Real-time, SMS) are shown but most events do not use them yet; SMS and WhatsApp messages are set up on the Messaging page instead.
