How alerts reach your screen

You do not need to set anything up for this; it is explained so you know what to expect.

1. A shopper places an order.
2. CartWhizz sends a "new order" signal to every admin Dashboard open for your store, and to the dashboards of sellers whose products are in the order.
3. Your browser shows the pop-up and plays the buzzer. This usually takes a second or two.

Things that stop the alert

• No Dashboard tab is open (the alert is not stored for later; the order is still in Sales → Orders).
• The tab is muted, the computer volume is off, or nobody has clicked on the page since it was opened.
• The computer went to sleep or lost internet. Reload the Dashboard when it wakes.
• The module, or Notify New Orders, is switched off.

Several tabs open? Each one rings. Keep just one Dashboard tab open to avoid an echo.
