Price, stock, availability and shipping
Price and stock
On the General tab:
- Price is what the shopper pays. List Price is an optional higher "was" price shown crossed out.
- Price History lists every price change with the date.
- Stock Quantity goes down with each order and back up when an order is cancelled.
- Taxes — the taxes this product pays. Usually they come from All products, the category or the brand; you can pick them per product. Set up taxes in Finance → Tax Rules.
Quantity discounts (Price Tiers)
The Price Tiers tab gives a lower unit price for bigger quantities, for example ₹100 each, or ₹90 each from 10. Click Add Price Tier, set the Min Quantity, choose Fixed Price or Percentage, and choose who it Applies To: All Customers, Guests Only, Registered Only or a customer group such as Wholesale.
Availability
The Availability tab controls who can buy and what happens at zero.
- Restrict to user groups — only those customer groups see the product. Leave empty for everyone.
- Available from — shoppers see "Coming soon" until this date.
- When price is zero — Allow purchase at $0, Hide buy button, or Ask for quote.
- When out of stock — Just show "Out of stock", Allow Buy in Advance / Pre-order, or Show "Notify me when available" (Back in stock alerts). A preview shows what shoppers will see.
- Promo text — a short line above the price, for example "Last 3 left!" (up to 200 characters).
- Search words — synonyms and common misspellings that help search find the product (not shown to shoppers).
Shipping details
On the Shipping tab, enter Weight (g) and Length, Width and Height (cm). Courier rates and weight-based shipping use them, so missing values can give wrong shipping prices. Tick Free Shipping if this product always ships free.
Sold together
- Required Products — products that must (or should) be bought with this one. Mandatory ones must be in the cart before checkout; optional ones are suggested.
- Attachments — downloadable files for shoppers, such as manuals or size charts (Select Files).
