Approved templates
A WhatsApp template in CartWhizz links your message to the template Meta approved.
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Message text | Your wording with variables like {{customer_name}}. Used for the preview, and sent as-is only to customers who messaged you in the last 24 hours. |
| Approved template name | The name Meta approved (Gupshup: template ID; Twilio: Content SID). |
| Template language | The language it was approved in, for example en_US or hi. |
| Parameter order | Which detail fills {{1}}, {{2}} and so on in the approved template. Drag rows, use the arrows, or click Use message order. |
| Approval status | Set to Approved once Meta approves it. Draft, Pending approval and Rejected templates are not sent. |
The preview shows the phone view and each value. It warns if a value would be empty, because WhatsApp rejects empty values.
Example: Meta approved order_shipped: "Hi {{1}}, your order {{2}} has shipped. Track it here: {{3}}". Set the parameter order to customer name, order number, tracking link.
Without an approved template name, a message can only reach customers who wrote to you in the last 24 hours. Offers always need an approved template.
