Step 2

Store basics: name, logo, domain, theme and pages

Give your store its name, logo, colours and address, and set up the pages shoppers see.

Name, contact details and currency. Open Settings → Settings → General for the store name, store email, currency, time zone and the social links shown in your footer. Settings → Settings → Store status opens or closes the store to shoppers.

Logo and colours. My store → Branding holds your logo, favicon and brand colours.

Your own domain. Every store gets a free address on cartwhizz.com. To use your own (for example www.yourbrand.com):

  1. Open Settings → Custom Domains, click Connect a domain and enter the domain without www..
  2. Tick Also connect the www version of this domain so both yourbrand.com and www.yourbrand.com work.
  3. Add the DNS records the page shows at the company that manages your domain. Changes can take up to 48 hours to spread.
  4. Once the records are found, the request goes to CartWhizz for a quick review; after that the secure certificate is issued and the domain goes live.
  5. Click Make primary on the address you want customers to see. Your other addresses stay connected.

Theme and pages.

  • My store → Themes — preview and switch themes.
  • My store → Layouts — arrange the blocks on your home page and other pages.
  • My store → Navigation — edit the header and footer menus.
  • My store → Pages — your About, Contact and policy pages (privacy, returns, shipping, terms).
  • My store → Banners — home page sliders and promotional banners (guide).
  • My store → Forms — custom forms such as enquiry or wholesale requests (guide).

Every store also carries a small "Powered by CartWhizz" line below the footer.
