Module settings (Settings → Modules → Abandoned Cart Recovery → Configure)
These are used only when the reminder rules are first created (the first time CartWhizz checks your store for abandoned carts). Changing them later does not change existing rules; edit the rules instead.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|
| How many reminders | 3 | 1 to 5 reminders per cart. |
| Wait before reminder 1…5 (hours) | 4, 24, 72, 168, 336 | How long after the cart goes quiet each reminder is sent. |
| Escalate with a discount | On | Reminder 1 has no discount; reminder 2 offers 5%, later ones 10%. Turn off for plain reminders (recommended while discount codes don't work at checkout). |
Recovery rule fields (Marketing → Abandoned Carts → Recovery Rules)
| Field | What it does |
|---|
| Rule Name | Your label, e.g. "First reminder". |
| Delay (minutes) | Wait after the cart goes quiet. 240 = 4 hours, 1440 = 1 day. |
| Max Emails | How many times this rule may email the same cart. Keep at 1. |
| Discount Type | No discount, Percentage or Fixed amount. |
| Discount Value | Percentage: 100 = 1% (500 = 5%). Fixed amount: in paise (5000 = ₹50). |
| Priority | Order in which rules are checked; higher first. Doesn't change who gets an email. |
| Active | Untick to pause the rule without deleting it. |
Other controls on the page
- Detect Abandoned (Abandoned Carts tab) — look for new abandoned carts now.
- Run Recovery Now (Conversion Funnel tab) — look for carts and send any reminders that are due, now.
- Cleanup Old Carts — delete abandoned-cart records older than the number of days you choose (90 by default). This only tidies the list; it does not touch orders.
Limits
- Checks run every 15 minutes.
- At most 50 emails per rule go out in each check, so a big backlog is spread over time.
Tips
- Pause a rule instead of deleting it, so its history stays in the funnel.
- If you change a rule's discount, earlier emails keep their old code.
