Edge cases + gotchas

  • Days end at 5:30 AM IST. Reports split days at midnight UTC. Orders placed between midnight and 5:30 AM Indian time count on the previous day.
  • Revenue includes GST and shipping. It is the order total, not your net sales.
  • Open COD orders count. An undelivered COD order is in your revenue until it is cancelled or marked as failed. If many COD orders come back (RTO), cancel them so your figures stay honest.
  • Refunds. An order leaves your revenue only when its status is changed to refunded or cancelled. A refund given directly in your payment gateway's dashboard, without updating the order, still counts as revenue.
  • Test orders count. There's no "test" flag. Cancel or delete test orders.
  • Orders you enter by hand count like any other order (they may not appear in Google Analytics).
  • Deleted products still appear in past reports under the name they had when sold.
  • Marketplace orders are counted once per customer order, not once per seller.
  • Very long date ranges can be slow; use scheduled reports for yearly figures.
