The banner form has a Preview showing your image with the overlay text, so you can check the text is readable before saving.

Check on the store

After placing the banner in a layout, open your store in a normal and a private (incognito) window, on desktop and phone. In the private window you see what a guest sees — useful if you used User Groups.

Test a scheduled banner

Create it with Status: Scheduled and a start date. It won't appear until then. To check it earlier, temporarily remove the start date, look, and put it back.

A/B testing

There is no built-in A/B test for banners. To compare two designs, run one for a week and the other the next week and compare sales in Home → Analytics → Reports.
