Getting started

1. Create a banner

1. Open My store → Content → Banners and click New Banner.
2. Enter a Title (for you; shoppers don't see it).
3. Click Upload Image and choose your picture. 1920 × 600 pixels works best.
4. Add Alt Text — a short description of the image, for shoppers using screen readers and for Google.
5. Optional: a Destination URL, for example /categories/sarees.
6. Optional: fill in the Overlay — heading, subtitle and a button.
7. Optional: set a Start Date and End Date.
8. Set Status to Active and click Create Banner.

2. Show it on your store

1. Open My store → Layouts and edit your home page.
2. Find the Banner Slider block (or add one).
3. Set Banner Source to Pick from existing banners and choose your banners under Select Banners.
4. Save and publish.

If your slider is set to show existing banners without choosing any, it shows all your active banners.

3. Check on your phone

Open your store on a phone. Wide banners get small on mobile, so keep important text large and in the middle — or use the overlay text, which stays readable.
