Permissions & roles
Delivery Scheduling uses the normal shipping and order permissions. Set them in Customers → User Groups: open the staff group and tick the permissions.
| Permission | Allows |
|---|---|
| View shipping | Open Delivery Scheduling and Delivery Window; see the slots and calendar rules. Everyone who uses the page needs this one. |
| Manage shipping | Create, edit, disable and delete slots; change the calendar rules and holidays. Without it the slot list is read-only. |
| View orders | The Scheduled Deliveries tab, and the delivery shown on orders, the orders list and packing slips. |
| Manage orders | Everything View orders allows, plus Cancel booking. |
| Manage modules or Manage settings | Switch the module on or off and change the booking rules. |
Typical roles
| Role | Give | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Owner / admin | Full admin | Everything, including the module switch. |
| Dispatch / operations | View shipping, Manage shipping, View orders, Manage orders | Builds the slots, runs the day, frees seats. |
| Packing | View shipping, View orders | Reads the day's deliveries and prints packing slips. |
| Customer service | View shipping, View orders, Manage orders | Sees a customer's slot and cancels a booking when a delivery is called off. |
While the module is off, even a full admin sees "This feature is not available" — check the module before the permissions. The calendar rules are the exception: they open when either Delivery Scheduling or Delivery Window is on.
Sellers
Sellers can't create slots and don't see Delivery Scheduling in their panel. A seller sees the booked delivery on their own order, and their new-order email includes it.
Activity log
Creating, changing, disabling or deleting a slot, and cancelling a booking, are recorded in Settings → System → Activity Logs under the type delivery, with who did it and when.
