Settings reference

Booking rules

Settings → Modules → Delivery Scheduling → Configure (or Booking rules on the Delivery Scheduling page).

SettingDefaultWhat it does
Days bookable ahead14How far ahead a shopper can book, 1 to 60 days.
Require a delivery slotOnA shipping method that has slots cannot be ordered at checkout without one. Orders from the mobile app, admin orders and POS are never blocked.

Calendar rules

Delivery Window settings (or Calendar rules on the Delivery Scheduling page). They are shared with the Delivery Window "arrives by" estimate and work whether or not that module is on.

SettingDefaultWhat it does
Processing days1Working days to prepare an order. A product's own processing days (product editor → Shipping tab → Delivery) replace this value; a cart waits for its slowest product.
Cut-off time14:00Orders after this time start counting from the next day.
Working daysMon–SatDays that count as processing days. Which days you deliver is decided by your slots.
Holidays—Dates with no deliveries, one-off or every year. A holiday is never offered and never counts as a working day.
Time zoneUTCThe zone dates are computed in. Left at UTC, your store's time zone is used; the Scheduling rules card warns if that is UTC too.

The earliest date a shopper can pick: today (tomorrow after the cut-off), moved to a working day, plus the processing days. The shipping method's estimated days are not added — they are transit days for the Delivery Window "arrives by" estimate.

Per product

Products → edit a product → Shipping tab → Delivery card (saved with its own Save delivery settings button):

SettingDefaultWhat it does
Processing daysblank (store default)Working days to prepare this product, 0 to 60. Blank or 0 uses the store's processing days.
Shoppers choose a delivery date and timeOnOff: this product never asks for a delivery slot.

Mixed carts: one order has one delivery, so the checkout shows the date and time picker while at least one product in the cart has the switch on, and the booking covers the whole order. A cart made only of products with the switch off shows no picker and is never blocked by Require a delivery slot.

Per slot

Shipping method, day of the week, start and end time (HH:MM, store time, start before end), label (up to 100 characters), capacity (orders per date, at least 1), Active or Disabled. See Slots, capacity + bookings.

Order emails

The order emails receive two variables when the order has a booking (both empty otherwise):

VariableExample
{{delivery_date}}Thu, 8 Oct 2026
{{delivery_window}}09:00–12:00 · Morning

The standard Order confirmation and New order (admin) emails show them in a "Delivery" row under the order number. If you have edited one of these emails, your text is kept: add a line with {{delivery_date}} and {{delivery_window}} yourself. The vendor's new-order email shows the same row under Customer. Reset to default restores the standard text with the row.

Permissions

View shipping opens the page, Manage shipping changes slots and calendar rules, View orders shows Scheduled Deliveries and the delivery on orders, Manage orders cancels or reschedules a booking. See Permissions & roles.

When the module is off

  • Checkout shows no calendar and no new booking is accepted; a shopper on an open checkout page is asked to pick again.
  • The admin pages say the feature is not available.
  • Orders keep the booking they already have, on every page, email and packing slip; the orders list hides the Delivery column and filter.
