What is Facebook Pixel?
The Facebook (Meta) Pixel tells Meta what visitors do on your store — which products they view, what they add to cart, and what they buy. With it, your Facebook and Instagram ads can:
- show you which ads led to sales (and your return on ad spend),
- reach people who visited or added to cart but didn't buy (retargeting),
- find new customers similar to your buyers (lookalike audiences).
You paste your Pixel ID once; CartWhizz adds the pixel to every page and sends the shopping events automatically.
Conversions API (recommended)
Ad blockers and iPhone privacy settings stop many browsers from sending the pixel. If you also paste a Conversions API access token, CartWhizz sends each purchase to Meta from its own server too. Meta matches the two and counts the sale once, so you don't lose sales or double-count.
The server-side purchase is sent when the order is confirmed: straight away for COD and bank transfer, and after the payment succeeds for UPI/card orders — so a failed or abandoned online payment isn't counted.
If Cookie Consent is on, the browser pixel waits until the visitor allows Marketing cookies.
