What is Email Notifications?
Email Notifications covers every email your store sends automatically: order confirmations, shipping and delivery updates, cancellations and refunds, password resets, welcome emails, new-order alerts to you and your sellers, review emails, abandoned-cart reminders and more.
It's part of every store and always on — there's nothing to switch on.
You manage it in Settings → Communications:
- Email Settings — the name and reply address customers see, separate addresses for orders, support, accounts and newsletter, and a Send Test button.
- Email Templates — the wording and design of every email, in each of your store's languages.
- Email Logs — every email sent, with its status, and Resend for failed ones.
- Notification Preferences — switch individual emails on or off (needs the Real-Time Order Notifications module).
How emails are sent
Normally your emails go out through CartWhizz's own mail server, under your store's name: customers see your From Name, and when they reply, the reply goes to your From Address (or the department address for that kind of email). You don't need your own mail server. Some stores can use their own SMTP server instead — if so, the Email Settings page shows SMTP Settings.
